Texas Roadhouse Ranch Dressing Recipe

Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp dried dill
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • ½ tsp dried chives
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Method

  1. Whisk together the 1 cup mayonnaise, ½ cup sour cream, and ½ cup buttermilk in a medium bowl for about 1 minute until completely smooth.
  2. Add the 1 tsp dried dill, 1 tsp dried parsley, ½ tsp dried chives, ½ tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp onion powder, ¼ tsp smoked paprika, ½ tsp kosher salt, and ¼ tsp black pepper. Whisk for 1 minute until fully blended.
  3. Transfer to a lidded jar and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Taste and adjust salt or thin with up to 2 tbsp more buttermilk if needed.
  4. Stir or shake the jar, pour into a serving bowl, and finish with a pinch of dried dill and cracked black pepper on top.

Notes

This dressing thickens noticeably overnight, so if you make it a day ahead and it's thicker than you'd like, whisk in a splash of buttermilk to loosen it back up. The chilling time is not optional if you're using dried herbs. Smoked paprika is a small addition but it's worth not skipping.
