Chick-fil-A Marinade Recipe

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 12 minutes
Total Time 22 minutes
Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dill pickle brine
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs

Method

  1. Whisk together the pickle brine, milk, egg, powdered sugar, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a medium bowl until the egg is fully combined.
  2. Add the chicken to the marinade, making sure each piece is fully coated, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to 8 hours.
  3. Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting the excess drip off, and sear in a hot skillet over medium-high heat for 5 to 6 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  4. Slice or leave whole, arrange on a plate with pickle chips on the side, and serve immediately.

Notes

Marinating time is not included in the prep time above, so plan ahead. Thighs are more forgiving than breasts if you push closer to the 8-hour mark. If you're going the fried route, dredge in seasoned flour right after marinating and fry at 350°F (175°C) for 4 to 5 minutes per side.
